Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Ritualist website (ritualistlabs.com) and The Ritual, our scalp-tracking companion app (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these terms.

Not medical advice

The Ritual helps you log your own routine and how your scalp feels, and surfaces patterns in your own data. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose any condition, and nothing in the app, including anything the AI Coach or Advisor says, is medical advice. Always consult a dermatologist or doctor for diagnosis or treatment of a scalp or skin condition.

Our physical products

Ritualist's physical products are non-medicated, daily-use products. None of them are a treatment or cure for any condition, and we make no claims that any Ritualist product will resolve seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis, eczema, or any other condition. Any purchase of a physical product is completed through our store, not through this website or app.

Accounts

• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account.
• You can use The Ritual anonymously, without an account, before deciding to sign up.
• Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

Your content

You own the logs, photos, and messages you create in The Ritual. By using the Service, you give us permission to store and process that content solely to operate the Service for you, for example, to display your history back to you or to generate a Coach response. We don't use your content to train AI models, and we don't make your photos or logs public.

Acceptable use

Please don't use the Service to:

• Impersonate someone else or misrepresent your identity
• Attempt to access another user's account or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including through automated scraping or abuse
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

Availability

We're always building and improving Ritualist and The Ritual. We'll do our best to keep the Service available and your data intact, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access, and features may change, be added, or be removed as we improve the product.

Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who violates these terms.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ritualist is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
